The Sad Kitten Home Project: A staircase for a kitten.

Hi kittens, I hope you're well! 

Yesterday I purchased a very important item for The Sad Kitten Home Project: the central staircase!

I was told by people who know, that the staircase is always the starting point when building a dolls house. It will determine not only the height of the rooms, but also how wide (or narrow) the hallway housing the staircase will be, and even its general layout.

The staircase consists of two segments with a landing between them. Although the two segments are equal in length, the upper one will be somewhat shortened. So.. I better start working on it, because there's lots to do!

Designing a Home for the Sad Kitten.

Hi kittens, I hope you're all well!!

As previously announced, The Sad Kitten will get a beautiful new home where he will live with Little A. 

This is quite a big project -the biggest I've done to date- because it's not just a room box, but an entire, two story house! That is something I've never done before, so you can imagine how daunting it is to me! 

Thankfully, I can count on the guidance of my friend and fellow miniaturist Rebecca Micallef, who has tons of experience on building dolls houses! Her help and advice have already proven invaluable, specially in the early stages of the project, when it came to laying out a plan for the house, totally from scratch!  

This project will take quite some time to complete, but when it's done, I will be a very happy critter!
