Although The Sad Kitten's universe is an ever expanding one, generally it centers around three main characters, which are described below.
The Sad Kitten: our main character and hero!
This cutest of kittens is quite a 'character' (no pun intended!). Like with any kitten, his life centers around food and sleeping (or sleeping and food, you choose). He also loves to be petted, pampered, loved, served, and everything in between. In fact, he has absolutely nothing to be sad about, but well, after all he's a kitten, so whining is engraved in his DNA!
He will do anything for a tuna sandwich, and his ingenuity makes him an ideal target for Little Jay's unfunny jokes and crazy, invented stories. Thankfully, Little A is always around to 'save' the kitten, and give that naughty Little Jay a piece or her mind!
Little A: The Sad Kitten's room mate.
Little A offered the kitten a place to live and, naturally, he took the opportunity with both paws. Although he has his own room in the house, he considers the rest of the house his 'territory' too. Little A does her best to make him comfortable in any possible way, which includes safeguarding him against Little Jay. Not that he would hurt the Sad Kitten in any way, but he's a teaser and naughty boy by nature, and that obviously must be contained!
Little Jay (aka Little J): Little A's best friend and self proclaimed "award winning kitten trainer."
Well, what can we say about Little Jay.. For starters, he's one of those little boys that uses bad behavior as a way of attracting attention. He's a sweet boy though, and although sometimes one would not say so from his actions, he has a heart of gold! For some reason the Sad Kitten looks very much up to him, and believes literally everything Little Jay says.
I think that, in a way, his poor jokes and crazy stories are just a way of keeping the Sad Kitten close and interested, because, actually, I think he's jealous of Little A for having the Kitten living with her.
